Ready to Ship and Starting New Project

This is what my family room looks like this morning.....full of boxes being shipped out tomorrow FEDEX Ground to Eureka, Ca...going to the Eureka Museum of Art for a California Fiber Artists exhibit "Fiber Enriched"...open June 22 and goes through August 21.....Wed three CFA pals came over and helped me pack up what I had at that point, but then 12 new pieces arrived up until Friday afternoon, so I finished it all up Saturday morning.  Inventory in each box, spreadsheet of the entire body of work, return airbills, return labels, programs, post cards...you name it, it's there along with the work.  A huge undertaking getting this size of an exhibit to a museum, but it's DONE.  Now I just walk past it and don't worry about it at all...it's going to work out fine, the museum will have it now and take very good care of the entire exhibit. Late August all of this comes back to me and then I have to dismantle everything back into their individual boxes and back out again to their owners.  Seems sort of crazy at times, but it's what it takes to put on a huge exhibit like this.

Now, on to the new project....six outdoor light pole banners for the Waldorf Camellia school here in Sacramento...they are 28" wide by 60" long....I'm working up the first draft in regular cotton fabric as a sample to make sure the design is what they want....the bottom has this big water wave, the top will have a half sun and three camellias falling down the side on a background of sky colors and green grass colors....this is the first stage....once the design is finished and presented to the school NEXT week..then I'll purchase the outdoor banner fabric and go at it making six two sided banners...they want them up before school starts early September....there goes my summer!!!!
