Fourth of July

Here's a photo of my Grandpa....the one on the right hidden in the scrubs...he loved to fish and he and  his buddies caught all these fish somewhere up in Northern Cal...I remember he and my Dad used to go fishing for several days and bring back a bunch of fish....and my Mother could never cook fish right, so we all hated all those fish he brought back.

I've been working on some new work for the gallery and plan to install in late July/August time frame....and I'm going to work on coming up with an Art Purse....artsy surface designs on a hand made purse that I hope will be juried into the gallery as a 3-D item...doing this means I loose some space on the wall, but it might be worth it if the purses start to sell.....I'm going to work up a couple, use them and see how they are accepted by those who know me and see the purse...you just never know how something is going to be received until you put it out there so, I think I'm going to make a go of it.  Give me a surface and I'll put some kind of design on it.

My sister retired from the school district this past week and her retirement party is this coming Saturday....I printed off an old picture of the four of us sisters in 1964 all in our graduation best..going to work up a piece for her as a retirement gift..I'm sure she will like it!!!!
