Changes throughout my life

Mary Ann from Texas mentioned that she didn't like my dark purple background to my blog; that she couldn't stand to look at the blog because of that color...............normally I would have blown that off, but then I got to thinking about how she might be right.  I might love that color of purple, but maybe a lot of others don't....so I took her advice and changed the colors on my blog...............to a lighter purple, softer and hopefully easier to read.  I mean, reading is what this is all about, so I made the change.  Thank you Mary Ann from Texas.  If you hadn't mentioned anything, I would have continued on and never knew others were having trouble reading the print againt the darker color.

Change is such a difficult thing for most of us....I like to think I am easy going person and can spin on a dime when I need to, but I will admit that some change is hard to come by.  Even at 64 (and yes, 65 is looming in the background) change is difficult at times....I've had to change the way I do my art to satisfy and accommodate the coop gallery I'm hanging in at this time....I've had to change how I market my work to get it out there and get some interest in solo shows....I've had to change and grow in what I create taking time to think it all out before jumping in and wasting time and supplies....and I"ve had to change my personal life to help out my husband who is ill and needs special care at time.   All of this takes a great amount of energy, time and effort...all of which I have plenty of at this time in my life.   I hope I'm moving forward toward future and great opportunites.

Today in the studio I'm cutting out the fabric pieces to re-cover four large back cushions for my step-daughters RV...they don't have much money, don't know how to sew (hard to believe there are people out there that don't sew).  The existing cushions are falling apart;  my studio roofline was leaking...we traded work and now I have to take care of my end of the bargin.  Ordered the extra long zippers that needs to be used and will sew each of four up and wait for the zippers to arrive....then zip zip zip...finished.  Easy peasy...right?????
