Latest Commission Piece and More

Put together this commission piece today...started and finished and out the door by 4pm to FEDEX...shipped up to Chico from Sacramento, so the client had this piece before the holiday....again, she saw my work at the gallery and took one of my wall brochures and called and presto, I have another client.  Those brochure I put out are the best idea yet...I've gotten  many calls and about half the calls come through with an order.  The last one before this had me do three pieces, so you just never know where any of this is going to lead.

So now I'm finished with all my commission orders and I have no pieces to work up for the holidays....so I'm a free bird...........and that's about what I'm going to start on over the weekend....a couple of pieces featuring larger birds.....the Gallery's January featured artists exhibit is a group show "New Year, New Work", so I thought I'd put something together that is totally different from what I have up on the walls in the back of the Gallery.   And I want to do two birds separately that will hang side by side...large long necked birds...hand drawn and use my dyed fabrics and sewing stitch to fill in the feathering, etc.....we'll see how it all comes out at the end.
